''Chlopsis longidens'' is an eel in the family Chlopsidae.〔(''Chlopsis longidens'' ) at www.fishbase.org.〕 It was described by Samuel Garman in 1899, originally under the genus ''Atopichthys''.〔Garman, S., 1899 (Dec.) Memoirs of the Museum of Comparative Zoology v. 24: Text: 1-431, Atlas: Pls. 1-85 + A-M.〕 It is known from a single leptocephalus specimen collected from between Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands, in the central eastern Pacific Ocean.
